We Love Labor Day Weekend!

Labor Day weekend is almost here, so it’s a time for many to get ready for relaxation and recharging during your much-needed break from work.

There is plenty to do for the weekend warriors in the city, but for those who need to get away from the noise and craziness, there are parks like Craig Regional Park. There are large, mature trees, lots of open spaces, a lake, and creeks along with an alluring rose garden. Definitely a good place to take the whole family. Still, the best is when you make your holiday weekend a staycation. You don’t have to drive anywhere or pay for any entertainment. You just gather friends and family, pull the grill out, and enjoy a good meal and good conversation with those you hold dear. We like the sound of that.

From all of us here at Highland Pinetree Apartments, we hope you have a safe and fun weekend with your loved ones.

3 Tips For NOT Messing Up Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is easy to mess up, particularly if you are not trying or wait until the last minute (which many of us are guilty of whether you’re male or female). Even though the holiday is only days away, here are three tips for not messing things up.

Put your phone away: the easiest way to mess up Valentine’s Day is to keep your head buried in your phone and ignore your partner–nothing is as rude. However, getting caught up in your phone is so easy in 2017. So maybe just keep your phones in the car and enjoy each other’s company.

Plan, plan, plan: another way to mess up Valentine’s Day is to not have a plan and constantly ask your partner, “what do you want to do”. Even if you are not planning anything elaborate, plan every detail and enjoy the night.

Romantic walk: long walks, holding hands, and talking about life is always a romantic endeavor. After dinner go to a beach or promenade and walk for a while. This little gesture can go along way in creating a special night.
