3 Tips For NOT Messing Up Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is easy to mess up, particularly if you are not trying or wait until the last minute (which many of us are guilty of whether you’re male or female). Even though the holiday is only days away, here are three tips for not messing things up.

Put your phone away: the easiest way to mess up Valentine’s Day is to keep your head buried in your phone and ignore your partner–nothing is as rude. However, getting caught up in your phone is so easy in 2017. So maybe just keep your phones in the car and enjoy each other’s company.

Plan, plan, plan: another way to mess up Valentine’s Day is to not have a plan and constantly ask your partner, “what do you want to do”. Even if you are not planning anything elaborate, plan every detail and enjoy the night.

Romantic walk: long walks, holding hands, and talking about life is always a romantic endeavor. After dinner go to a beach or promenade and walk for a while. This little gesture can go along way in creating a special night.

How To Make Mashed Potatoes

Cooking a Thanksgiving meal can be stressful. You have to get up early, juggle six or seven dishes, while also setting the table, getting ready, and hosting guests. Wow, that is a lot of work. But there is no need to panic because we got your back with a wonderful mashed potatoes recipe that will put your guest in a food coma.

Ingredients
3 pounds diced potatoes
Pinch of Kosher salt
1 1/2 cups of milk
6 cloves of pureed roasted garlic
1/2 stick of unsalted butter
8 ounces of mascarpone cheese
Pinch of ground black pepper

Start the potatoes off in cold water and bring to a boil (add the salt at the beginning). Once done, drain the potatoes and in a separate pan, cook the milk, garlic puree and butter over low heat. Next add the mixture to the potato pan and mash until combined. Now add in the mascarpone and season with salt and pepper.
