How To Make Mashed Potatoes

Cooking a Thanksgiving meal can be stressful. You have to get up early, juggle six or seven dishes, while also setting the table, getting ready, and hosting guests. Wow, that is a lot of work. But there is no need to panic because we got your back with a wonderful mashed potatoes recipe that will put your guest in a food coma.

Ingredients
3 pounds diced potatoes
Pinch of Kosher salt
1 1/2 cups of milk
6 cloves of pureed roasted garlic
1/2 stick of unsalted butter
8 ounces of mascarpone cheese
Pinch of ground black pepper

Start the potatoes off in cold water and bring to a boil (add the salt at the beginning). Once done, drain the potatoes and in a separate pan, cook the milk, garlic puree and butter over low heat. Next add the mixture to the potato pan and mash until combined. Now add in the mascarpone and season with salt and pepper.

Fullerton Fun: Best Nightclubs in the City

Nightclubs are a great way to go out and blow off some steam. Dancing is something that can elevate your mood and help you enjoy life–even if you aren’t good at it. But the beauty of a nightclub is that you can dance the night away without anyone even noticing you on the dance floor (so you don’t have to be any good). The city of Fullerton has a number of great night clubs in the area, particularly in Downtown Fullerton or DTF as the kids like to call it. In today’s blog we have a list of three excellent dance clubs near your neighborhood. Take a look.

How To Stay Motivated and Active During the Winter

The holiday season isn’t the time to get lazy and stop working and monitoring your health. Actually, it’s the perfect time to get back on track or go even harder. Let’s take a look at three simple tips for staying active during the winter season.

Embrace the cold: if you are going to exercise outside, you must embrace the cold. Early morning runs will be uncomfortable so realize that and prepare. Make sure to get running leggings and a running jacket. Don’t let the weather stop you from staying active.

Set a goal: setting a goal gives you something tangible to reach for during the holiday. You can sign up for a race, set a weight loss goal, for simply decide to work out four days a week for two months straight. Just be sure to have a purpose for your workouts.

Start inside: this tip works with embracing the cold. Start your morning run by warming up inside and getting your blood running before stepping outside into the cold. Once you are warmed up, your body won’t even notice the weather outside.

The festivities, however, also include fun for the entire family with a youth and diaper dash race–you can get all the little ones involved. Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Tips

Halloween! Halloween is here. If you are up for some spookiness this October, now is the time to start decorating your apartment, here are a few tips.

Ugly nose: turn your pumpkin on its side and use the stem for an ugly nose. You can even grab a hat and turn the pumpkin into a witch.

Paint: carving can get messy. Instead, break out the paints and add a pop of color to your Halloween pumpkin. They may not be scary, but they do look great as accent pieces in your home.

Pumpkin ice bowl: if you are hosting a party, cut your pumpkin in half, clean it out and use it as an ice bowl!
